MDM Alumni Impact Platforms
Inspired by AIM's MDM Impact Leadership Lab, the MDM Impact Community is an experiment towards harnessing the collective potential of MDM alums and current students across Asia.
Scalable development impact in the 21st century is complex, trans-disciplinary, and tech-enabled. As a neural network of development professionals, we intend to unlock the collective intelligence and social capital of 1,000+ MDM alums who influence hundreds of organizations.
Through small, lightweight, and agile teams, we aim to become a platform for co-creating solutions and professional opportunities for MDM students and alums.
MDM alums and students are invited to form Shared Interest Groups(SIGs) based on convergent interests along SDGs, problem spaces, technologies, strategies, or geographic areas. Adapted from alumni network engagement programs in other universities, SIGs allow us to continue sharing ideas and finding allies just as we did on campus at AIM.
MDM Impact is an initiative of the Asian School of Governance, a social enterprise that aims to advance leadership, innovation, and social impact through 1 million changemakers.
The Himalayan Energy Transition Finance Fellowship is a non-partisan, solutions-driven fellowship program that equips students, young professionals, researchers, and emerging practitioners to design innovative financing mechanisms that can accelerate clean, affordable, climate-resilient, and socially just energy transitions across Nepal.
Fellows work in multidisciplinary teams to develop finance and implementation tailored to the realities of Himalayan communities, municipalities, provinces, and underserved regions. Read more...
The Blue Carbon Fellows Program is designed for practitioners, students, and organizations who want to design blue carbon projects for their locality or develop value chains related to blue carbon.
The objectives of this program are: 1)to design and implement sustainable blue carbon projects*; 2) to develop local capacity for inclusive business incubation and capital mobilization for blue economy enterprises; 3) to co-create local policies and institutional arrangements to support the blue economy
